Like Jordan, James has begun to venture into different business ventures and is now one step away from emulating the NBA legend becoming a part-owner of an American sports team, should Fenway Sports Group's attempt to buy the NHL team the Pittsburgh Penguins come to fruition.

LeBron James' NBA dream
As the journalist Dan Primack notes, FSG's and therefore LeBron James' plan is to buy an NBA team and they are hoping to begin this process in mid-2022.
If this happens, LeBron would be following a similar path to Jordan, who is the current owner of the Charlotte Hornets and was a minority shareholder in the Washington Wizards.
